Music Ministry

The Christian faithful who gather together as one to await the Lord’s coming are instructed by the Apostle Paul to sing together psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (cf. Col 3:16). Singing is the sign of the heart’s joy (cf. Acts 2:46). Thus Saint Augustine says rightly, “Singing is for one who loves.” There is also the ancient proverb: “One who sings well prays twice.” - General Instruction of the Roman Missal

There are many opportunities to get involved with the music ministry of Our Lady of Wisdom. If you have musical talent, and you discern the Lord is calling you to use it to serve Him, get involved here at Wisdom!

Music ministers help the community of Wisdom by leading music at all Masses, both weekends and weekdays. You can Get Involved by inserting your information on this website or by contacting:Duston Stout, the Director of Liturgical Music, 337.232.8742, music@ourladyofwisdom.org
