His calling is a declaration of love. Your response is commitment, friendship, and love manifested in the gift of your own life as a definitive following and as a permanent sharing in his mission and in his consecrations. To make up your mind is to love him with all of your soul and all of your heart in such a way that this love becomes the standard and motive of all your actions. From this moment on, live the Eucharist fully; be persons for whom the Holy Mass, Communion, and Eucharistic adoration are the center and summit of their whole life. Offer Christ your heart in meditation and personal prayer which is the foundation of the spiritual life.
- Blessed John Paul the Great

Each one of us is called to live our lives in accordance with God’s perfect will, and some of us have Vocations to the religious life, consecrated life, or priesthood. What if you had the unique opportunity to be an instrument of God’s grace for the salvation of countless numbers of souls–would you embrace it? The Priesthood should be considered for God’s sake and the sake of the world. Think about it, pray about it, and then do whatever He tells you (John 2:5). Do you feel called by the Lord to the Priesthood or Religious Life?

Supporting Vocations

One goal of the staff and leadership team at Our Lady of Wisdom is to help guide students and parishioners to their own specific vocations.  The vocations director of the Diocese of Lafayette, Fr. Kevin Bordelon, celebrates mass once a week at Our Lady of Wisdom’s chapel and makes himself available afterwards to speak to young men and women seeking clarity regarding their vocations. Wisdom is also privileged to have Sr. Fatima Alphiri on campus.  Sr. Fatima is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows and is the Vocation Director of her community.

Our Seminarians

Our Lady of Wisdom is blessed to have six men currently in the seminary for discernment and formation for the Holy Priesthood. They are former students of UL and active member of the Newman Catholic Student Ministry. Please support and pray for them.
