I decided to preach another homily based on this Sunday’s readings in response to the video that went viral last week entitled “Why I Hate Religion but Love Jesus.” It’s not so much in response to the specific contentions made in the video, but the underlying assumptions that lead to the disdain for organized religion so prevalent in our culture.
